Don't you ever wonder what you're worth?

I officially gave my 2 weeks notice today, and the company went nuts. People were calling me from NY and telling me that they really are interested in keeping employees of my caliber... that they could offer me more money and even a management position. They even discussed me in a conference call...

It's maddening that no one really appreciates you until they think they're going to lose you. It's like I'm in a bad relationship. Two and a half years of abuse and neglect, and now you're telling me you love me? Haven't I deserved better all along?

I really don't expect to be tempted by whatever they come up with, but I am curious...
