Fly Me To The Moon
I guess I can announce it since I formally accepted the position last night...
In 2 weeks, I will become the Manager of Financial Planning & Administration for Continєntal Express (legally known as ExprєssJet)!
And my first official duty is to hire my own analyst!
Now I know I have been adamant about leaving Houston this time around (for fear of being stuck in Houston my entire life), but I think this is a good compromise. I actually told my parents a couple months ago that I would only stay in Houston if I could work for an airline like Continєntal, which would give me the free flight privileges so I could travel. I never would have guessed that this would really come true.
I'm going to leave the sad goodbyes for a later posting. For now, I would just like to say the following things:
1) A big thanks to Shervin who told me about this position (not once but twice) and convinced me to apply months later, after I originally told him "there's no way I would get a manager level job."
2) Andrew - you better watch out. Flight privileges means that I could potentially be in LA every weekend. Remember how you said it might be nice to have me as a pet?
3) Everyone pray for Alina - she will need it as the remaining indentured servant in the JPMorgan Private Bank Capital Advisory Group. I'm going to try and convince you to jump ship too.

Thanks Andrew!
You know I'll put up a fight when bath time rolls around. You might just want to stick to the flea collar and doggie perfume. I have to warn you though... I may need a bit more obedience training...
