If a person writes a blog and there is no one around to read it... does it still have a point?

Life Vertigo

Lately, I've been sloshing around in so many different perspectives on life that I feel like I've been riding around in those damn tea cups at Disneyland...

Here are all of the things that have been swimming around in my head.

The little picture (what I'm doing): I went out to eat with an associate from the IB group (choice a from the last entry). Sounds like the Houston job would actually be challenging and pretty nice on the ol' bank account too. At my current job, I've been working on a lot of stuff that no one knows I'm working on or understands. My poor doggie is neglected. My house should be condemned. I have only oranges and apples in my refrigerator, which constantly flashes "SERVICE". My parents wonder why they never see me. I have to go to a wedding this weekend for a girl I used to see at church (long story) who is not only younger than me, but also someone who went to an expensive liberal arts school for a business degree because she said UT just sounded bad. Conclusion: I'm really quite lazy, disorganized, and mean with a dab of bitterness on top. I have a long way to go on this whole self improvement thing.

The medium picture (what I could be doing): Have you seen that show on MTV called 'My Super Sweet 16'... in particular, the one with a girl named Ava? Good lord. I didn't realize that people could be that spoiled - from fake boobs at god knows what age... to flying to Paris to shop for a dress for her party (she wanted a $10,000 one)... to fake crying when her parents didn't give her the Range Rover at dinner (they gave it to her the next day)... to being carried in to her $150,000+ party by 4 shirtless water polo players. Now, mix that with other stuff like the Atlantic Rowing Challenge - two person teams row across the freakin' Atlantic Ocean - two freakin' people... rowing... across the freakin' ocean. Okay, they do have gps and a satellite uplink... but still... ROWING. I can't believe a big group of people sign up to do this every year (the world record is apparently 41 days, 2 hours 55 minutes)! Conclusion: Anything is possible in this wacky world. There's really no track or "normal" life - it's time to take some risks (or stop watching TV so I don't know that other people are)!

The big picture (what does it matter what I do): Have you heard of the string theory? Apparently it's a theory that hopes to be a mathematically unified way to describe nature... which has implications for reality and existence. Anyways, spend more than five seconds pondering that, and I'm sure some part of your brain will hurt. Conclusion: Nothing really matters in the grand scheme. Doesn't sitting around on the couch in front of the TV sound nice?
