Wanted: Getaway Plan

I still can't get used to planning my own vacations... I would prefer to have the forced time off like we did back in school. I usually dread requesting vacation from work because I hate being out of the loop, even for a day. This time, I think a vacation would actually improve my attitude at work (it certainly can't get much worse right now).

As it stands, I have 7 days of vacation left - so I'm apparently taking the last 7 work days of the year off (12/23 - 12/31). Now, if only I had something to do during that period. I fear that such an extended stay at home without any supervision would go as follows:

Day 1: Bonnie wakes up at 9am... lets Tobey out... crawls back in to bed when she can't think of anything to do... wakes back up at 2:30pm... feeds Tobey... plops down in front of the couch and proceeds to watch 12 hours of bad TV... feeds Tobey... lets Tobey out... goes to bed at 4am.

Day 2: Rinse and repeat.

Eating, showering, and other daily rituals get jumbled into the mix at random intervals (meal choices also get more random as time goes by... it is not entirely impossible for me to end up eating a bag of marshmallows, drinking cranberry juice out of the container, and watching some old Highlander episode at 12:30am).

This is why I need a plan... preferably with some kind of travel involved so I won't fall into the pathetic cycle mentioned above... at least not immediately. Any suggestions?
