If a person writes a blog and there is no one around to read it... does it still have a point?

Movies, Meals, and Malls

There are a limited number of things you can do in Houston. I'm sure if you searched hard enough and were adventurous enough (and had a crapload of money) any city could be relatively exciting. Of course, I did leave out the biggest pastime of people the world over... that would be drinking (perhaps, because of the lack of alliteration with my title). For me, drinking would not be an option... mostly due to the fact that my tolerance is so low that it requires a couple of decimal places to describe. I think one drink puts me over into the "drank too much and now I am sleepy" stage. Maybe the buzz is at about 0.25 drinks. The other explanation for me not joining the Alcohol Club is the fact that I actually don't need a foreign substance to amuse myself or make a fool out of myself. I don't have anything against everyone else who enjoys imbibing vigorously... go ahead and live it up. I only have a problem if you start falling into the category of alcohol worship (where you would marry alcohol if it was a person) or alcohol snobbery (where you think the number of drinks you can hold down equates to your coolness factor). But, I digress. Back to my original point...

It's hard to find anything to do outside of watching a movie (thank you student id for making that more affordable), pigging out (even Vietnamese is getting expensive), and shopping (what the hell could I possibly need). It's to the point where I start dreading having to make a decision instead of looking forward to enjoying my time away from work. Although, I have to say watching I Heart Huckabees last night was quite enjoyable. For a few minutes after, I didn't have a care in the world. Isn't that what we're all striving for? Whether you are getting that feeling from sky diving, finding an amazing bargain, eating the perfect hamburger, or hanging around your significant other (or your crazy friends)... it's all about reaching that euphoric state of mind where you are completely unselfconscious (not to be confused with unconscious) and smiling like crazy.

Now, where can I find that today?
