If a person writes a blog and there is no one around to read it... does it still have a point?

I Scream, You Scream

Here are a few random thoughts fueled by my urge to have some ice cream right now...

I bought some Blue Bell rocky road ice cream last weekend, and it was the best rocky road I've ever had. Usually rocky road is just rocky road... but this particular tub that I picked up must have been from a special crop fresh off the truck from Brenham. Anyways, I won't go into details about the ranges of marshmallow density... for fear of sounding like even more of a freak. Instead, I would just like to list some of my favorite Blue Bell flavors: Rocky Road, Strawberries and Homemade Vanilla, Caramel Sundae Crunch, and Birthday Cake. Mmmm...

I eat a huge bowl of Blue Bell ice cream at least once a day. How else am I supposed to build some quality cellulite? But, let's not dwell on the negative aspects of eating so much sugar and fat (just say 'NO' to all of that sugar-free, fat-free stuff... as Mr. Liptrap, chemistry teacher extraordinaire, would say "that stuff breaks down into wood alcohol"... and it tastes like crap too). Ice cream is great. I realize that my demand curve for Blue Bell ice cream is extremely inelastic (okay, that was very a very dorky economics way of explaining the fact that I will pay almost any price for the product... but that's really how I think about it). And, the colder it gets outside, the more I crave it.

Not that I want to make any enemies, but I'm very loyal to my Blue Bell ice cream. I get a little GoldieLocks-ish when it comes to the competition out there:

Ben & Jerry's - too much stuff and not enough ice cream

Dreyers/Breyers - too much ice and not enough cream

Haagen Dazs - not bad, but way too expensive to buy in the quantities that I require (and not too creative with their flavors)

In conclusion, I am a faithful Blue Bell lover. Having Blue Bell and Dr. Pepper at your fingertips is one of the few advantages of living in the South.
