If a person writes a blog and there is no one around to read it... does it still have a point?

Water Water Everywhere

And you wouldn't want to drink this water...

I woke up today, walked downstairs, and discovered that a pond had been installed in my lovely home overnight. Storm water had backed up and overflowed out of my bathtub and toilet (yes, ew). It's a good thing that I don't actually have anything down there. It's a barren concrete dog dungeon. Another upside is that I didn't have to go into work today since this definitely qualified as an ITO day (that's a personal day that doesn't count against your vacation for anyone who isn't familiar with JPMC's nazi code). This also meant that the Houston office was left sans analysts (gasp) since Alina, the other super analyst, was on vacation. Amazingly, they managed to function without us.

Days seems longer when you're not at work... I managed to clean the house, get a haircut, make three trips to an auto parts store to get the right wrench, go to pilates class, and get a parking ticket (thanks Bill White for changing the street signs over the weekend - hope you do something drastic with my $25 contribution to the city). All in all, it was an eventful day. Now, it's raining like a mofo again... hope I don't experience deja vu tomorrow.
