If a person writes a blog and there is no one around to read it... does it still have a point?

Mediocreville (population: at least 1)

Here's what I'm thinking...

There are over 6 billion people on this earth - all of them with hopes and dreams, and all of them make choices (let's leave out the people at the ends of the normal distribution graph with "unique" chemical reactions occurring in their brains). What I want to know is what are the chances that everyone gets to realize those dreams and reach their potential? I'm not even talking about wild dreams of becoming a superstar or winning the lottery - how about just a fulfilling job, meaningful relationships, and good times. The preliminary data that I've collected is not very encouraging. Either the odds are not in my favor, or I got off the Destiny Express at the wrong stop - and I'm now a permanent citizen of Mediocreville: land of people who will ultimately have to settle for less in life. If that's the case... I would like apathy to set in a little faster. Is that too much to ask?

i think about this all the time...but i try and just think that there's no point in getting upset until i'm 70 and then my life is over and i sip my ENSURE and scratch my butt...maybe then i'll realize that my life was crap...good thing i get to die in a few years...

seriously though...don't settle for less...as much as financially is possible...strive for what you want once you know what it is...it sucks that sometimes it takes longer to find out what that is...and plus it's always changing...but you ain't alone in mediocreville...i'm looking at buying real estate...
