If a person writes a blog and there is no one around to read it... does it still have a point?

Do a Little Dance

Once in a while, I'll flip to this little show on VH1 called Motormouth. It's a hidden camera show where they catch people singing in their cars (as well as cruisin for chicks, getting pulled over by the cops, experiencing road rage, and having lovely conversations about cellulite). It's quite entertaining late at night. It just got me thinking... I'm more of a car dancer than a car singer. The only exception is when I'm feeling moody... I might sing a little Dido on a late night drive (Don't Think always put a smile on my face). Other than that, give me a good beat, and I can get my groove on in the Lex.

Speaking of dancing... there are never enough opportunities to boogie down. Being deprived has lead to a couple of breakdowns in strange places like Wal-Mart where I just had to shake it to some random tunes playing in the electronics section. Granted, I'm not any good at dancing (I'm no Mr. Wang or Ms. Bail), but that has never stopped me from thoroughly enjoying it. Believe me, if being good at something was a requirement for enjoying it, I would be a miserable human being.

Anyways, I love a good pop song or hip hop single. When I get trance or techno... I start understanding why people drink. Sigh... I wish dancing was part of the holiday traditions. Everyone could gather for the turkey and cranberry sauce... and then get crunk with the Ying Yang Twins in the living room to work off the feast.

Somehow, I don't see that happening at my parents' house this year.

oooo grrrrl...

i do like me some shimmy shimmy...i'm constantly on the lookout for some place to dance...i've resorted to taking hip hop classes at the gym so at least i feel like i can dance all week long without making me look incredibly gay or like a 5 year old kid with ADD...

i'm more of a combo...i sing and dance and bounce bounce all the way to my destination of choice...in fact, often times, people swerve out of my way because they're afraid i'm not paying attention and will hit them...surprisingly i'm a much better driver whilst belting and grooving than i am without...

and please...you are not a bad dancer...i love going out with you cos you enjoy it and shows...it's hard to find people who love the pop and lock as much as you and i do...good times indeed...

and i'm right there with you on that techno trance thing...10 minute mix of what? is there even a melody there? i think that's britney...you hear her groan?

i do like to drop it like it's hot and werk it...is it worth...let me work it...put your thang down and reverse it...it's all the time party when there's a beat to shake my ass to...

come on to LA and we can go to popstarz...dance on a platform...
